For the third time now, we have the honour to present the works of the Japanese artists Atsuo Hukuda and Shuhei Fukuda, now for the first time jointly with the work of Kenji Yanagi.
The exhibition aims to confront Western and Japanese art through the contrast between the sculptural perspective of the works of Atsuo Hukuda, created primarily from gold leaf, and the pictorial perspective, changing over time, in silver leaf by Shuhei Fukuda. Kenji Yanagi, in his work, addresses primarily themes reflecting memory and the clashing duality of body and mind.
In parallel with this exhibition, from 20 March to 4 May 2025 there will be a second presentation by the same authors in the House of Art in České Budějovice, which will display their joint project Tři cesty, tři metody / Three Paths, Three Methods.
