TOUCH

Antonín Tomášek’s solo exhibition TOUCH uses an imaginary touch to awaken our sensitivity to space and subject. The artist asks what we touch and what touches us. How does our relationship to objects come about, and how does it evolve and fade away? As a possible answer, the artist proposes design as an inspirational starting point, where our memory and physical presence in this world plays an important part.The exhibition at the Kvalitář Gallery maps Antonín Tomášek’s various works which have long been dedicated to work with porcelain and ceramics. Within the framework of the new realizations presented here, such as Cube, Wave, Fish or Buffalo Head, the artist works within the context of design, sculpture and new media.
